SAN PEDRO, Calif. — The Coast Guard and American Marine personnel are scheduled to host an award ceremony for the Christy S crew for their rescue efforts when a Coast Guard civilian member fell from an embarkation ladder while boarding another vessel.

Coast Guard Public Service Awards recognize private citizens, groups or organizations whose actions demonstrate the highest standards of the Coast Guard and public service.
